NY-based Immortal Science returns to Geryon with four intricately percussive outings. Cheeky stepper “Trial By Combat” pairs a classic jungle vocal hook with heavy synths stabs, while title track “God Mode” filters techstep DnB’s gothic scifi magesty through a stomping techno lens. Science rounds it out with two dub inflected 4x4s. “Golden Husk”’s stripped down forward drive builds into a staggering FM bass meltdown, and closer “Our Crew”’s synth arpeggios melt in and out of balearic ambiance.
